FORTA, “Fit for the aged”, is a drug classification system designed as a clinical tool to help in monitoring and optimizing drug therapy and care management of older patients: https://www.umm.uni-heidelberg.de/ag/forta/. The study looked at frequently used long-term drug therapy of older patients including the main drugs used in LUTS. Matthias Oelke discusses the implications of drugs in common use and reveals some important implications in elderly patients with LUTS, and the need to evaluate this medication in subgroups such as older people.
