Enuresis alarm is a well-established method to manage nocturnal enuresis (NE). However, the dropout rate is very high, resulting in poor response. Dr. Ubirajara Barroso from the Federal University of Bahia and Bahiana School of Medicine in Salvador, Brazil, has developed a new alarm device that has now been tested in 6 NE patients and was the subject of his presentation at the 24th Congress of the European Society of Paediatric Urology, Genoa, Italy. In an interview held at the meeting, Dr. Barroso described the new device, highlighted the results of his preliminary study, and discussed the potential future of this device.
