The role of TURP has been increasingly challenged by the development of medical and of minimally invasive treatment options, such as laser procedures. Two conditions are required to keep TURP as a gold standard: minimizing morbidity and enhancing functional outcomes. The presentation will aim to assess what surgical practices should be done and what technical options should be used to optimize TURP.
